It’s been a year since our last CA Briefing. Much has happened since then, and all in the context of Devolution and City Deal negotiations, and the earthquakes of Brexit and the Trump victory.
We have been busy, especially in the areas of Growth and Transport. In Growth, we announced remarkable new growth figures for Cambridge in February and followed this up with the launch of the new Cambridge Cluster Map in July. Our Transport project team has had a welcome boost with the setting up of the National Infrastructure Commission at the end of 2015, setting a favourable climate for lobbying for better links between Cambridge and London and Oxford. But we have also been making serious headway in other work, notably with the Connectivity team’s #Cambsnotspotter campaign. So this is an indispensable guide to our work in 2016.
